Surf First Aid Course Level 1

Omanu Volunteer Lifeguards' Scholarship Opportunity with Structure & Page Macrae Engineering
We are excited to announce an opportunity for our dedicated Omanu Beach SLSC volunteer lifeguards pursuing higher education or apprenticeships. Thanks to the generous support of Structure Development, and Page Macrae Engineering we are offering 3 individual scholarships this season valued at $2,000, $1,000 and $1,000 to support your academic and career endeavours. How to Apply: If you are a current Omanu Beach SLSC volunteer lifeguard and are studying at University, Polytech, or completing a trade through an apprenticeship, this scholarship opportunity is for you!
To apply, please submit a letter of application that includes:
- Details of your study/apprenticeship plans.
- Your present and past involvement at Omanu Beach SLSC.

IRB Crewman's Module
We have a IRB Crewman’s module, run by Eastern Region coming up on Saturday the 6th of April at Mount Maunganui. This is a great module as it allows you to open the gateway to IRBs and get into some pretty awesome stuff like racing and event guarding. Pre requisites are: Refreshed Lifeguard, Current member of a SLS club and must have done your pre-learning otherwise you won't be allowed to complete the exam. Intermediate Lifeguard School – Waihi Beach
- 19th - 21st April Intermediate Lifeguard School at Waihi Beach SLSC
Intermediate Lifeguard School is designed to provide junior lifeguards with the skills, development, knowledge and further understanding to develop as a lifeguard. The school is a dynamic combination of theory and practical based sessions to enhance the candidate's learning through a variety of situations. Intermediate Lifeguard School is delivered via a two-day camp and is a great opportunity for junior lifeguards to become more confident and capable lifeguards.Please email Nikyla ASAP if you are interested.
